Corey Scott Dowd’s Expertise in Skiing

Corey Scott Dowd is an avid skier and learned how to snow ski when he was just 4 years old. As a child he’d go to Frisco, Colorado almost every year with his grandparents because they had a condo  there and it was relatively close to his favorite ski slopes. Copper Mountain was and still is his favorite place ski.

Corey Scott Dowd has been on most ski major slopes in Colorado, including Copper Mountain and many others like Breckenridge, Vail, Keystone and A-Basin. Even though Copper isn’t the biggest X Games type of mountain, it is still his all time favorite place to be. For him, having every slope memorized and being able to just fly down a smooth or very rough slope is the most amazing thing about skiing. “You don’t really think of anything else other than not smashing into a tree or a person. “, he says.

In his more adventurous times, Corey Scott Dowd has skied moguls, slaloms and done slope-edge tree skiing.  While he has snowboarded, the balance requirements are quite different and he prefers skiing more. Corey also enjoys sports such as soccer, basketball, and volleyball. He has run cross country and accomplished a big race time difference from year start to finish.
